Turning 30: Week 53 - Thank you!

I find it incredibly fitting that I barely have time to post this. I'm in the middle of a big illustration project and have a couple of smaller projects on the side. I worked all weekend and will continue to do so over Christmas. If you had told me a year ago (when I started the Turning 30 project) that I would be this busy drawing, I probably would have laughed in your face.

And I really have to thank this blog and most of all you lovely people for that! I would have never even considered illustration as a career if it hadn't been for you. When I started posting little drawings on the blog it was you guys who encouraged me to keep drawing and also to pursue it as a career. So:

Thank you!

Thank you also for all your wonderful comments during the year. You've been incredibly encouraging and I'm so glad to have done this online, out there in the open, against all my better judgement. Next week will be the last post of this project and then it'll be back to normal blogging. But more on that later. Have a wonderful week, everyone! xx

P.s. Yes, yes, yes. I know that there are only 52 weeks in a year but clearly math isn't my strong suit. I must've gone wrong somewhere.

Vanessa, keep on drawing! Btw, incidentally, I read several children books to my son and I noticed that all of the illustrators live and work in Berlin! Coincidence??

  5. Wow...I can't believe a year has come and gone already! That's so awesome though...congrats Vanessa! It's been fun to see this come full circle now :-) Keep it up!
