Turning 30: Week 54 - It's my Birthday!

Hello everyone! Today is my birthday and I have finally turned 30. Let me tell you twenty something's: there's nothing to worry about. I don't feel any different to how I felt yesterday when I was still a sweet 29 year old.

I do, however, feel very different to a year ago, and for that I'm very grateful. If there's anything I have learned from this year it's if you're not happy with the way your life is going right now, you have the power to change it. Start making a plan, setting some goals and going after what you want. You might not end up where you think you'll be but by living life more consciously and really thinking about your actions and trying new things, you and your life will change. And it's probably gonna be pretty awesome!

Ok, this is getting too soppy for me and I've got a party to get to. Have a fabulous day and have a glass of champagne in my honor! Xx

  5. Prost! Yes, such deep yet common-sense message: "if you're not happy with the way your life is going right now, you have the power to change it." So many of us just go through our lives without thinking/be mindful. A little bit of mindfulness goes a long way. Have a happy celebration!

  15. Hello Vanessa, now that your Turning 30 Project has come to an end with your birthday it’s time to say „thank
you“ for this wonderful, very special and really inspiring blog. Take Only Memories and its Turning 30 Project is a wonderfull mixture of dreaming and doing! In other words – it’s creative. I am sure you can succeed and become a
professional creative. Your talents are so obvious. Your writing, which often seems to me essayistic in the best English tradition, your illustrations, your photography they a r e professionell. There will be people who pay
    money for it!

There are so many blogs that are totally boring because they are only private, where the reader can’t find anything that’s interesting for him. I think you always found the right mixture of private adventures, intimate thougths and raising questions that are important for everyone who is thinking about how to live and happiness from time to time. What we, your readers, could learn from you, is to handle our own life as a project from time to time. The other time we should just live and enjoy life.

Life is hard work sometimes. That’s a truth which I still have to accept. Maybe I can do it when I start my Turning 70 Project. I can’t tell the date. I have to draw the private line here because blogger and their followers are so unbelievable young! But up to the present I am still the small boy whose mother said every day: „Don’t dream, do something!“ You asked your readers „What is your dream?“. You made a part of the artwork for our CD „Berlin
Ballroom – Never Stop Dreaming“. And therefore you already know what I am dreaming of: That I’ll never loose the power of dreaming. That I’ll never stop dreaming. And I’m sure you will stick to your dreams too. They are worth
    working for!

I'm glad you liked the project and hope I inspired you a little. Good luck with your Turning 70 project :)
