My name is Vanessa Locke and I am a German/American actress, filmmaker and lover of all things peculiar. After moving around a lot for the past ten years, I am currently living in Berlin together with my boyfriend Sebastian an our cat Catastrophe.
What is the Turning 30 Project?
When I turned 29 in December 2012 I suddenly realized that I only had one more year until I turned 30. To me that is a pretty significant age, one at which I wanted to have my life sorted out. At which I wanted to 'be' someone. But on my 29th birthday I was doing quite the opposite: I was working at an incredibly useless and boring day job, getting more and more depressed about life. I knew that something had to change. So I turned my infrequently updated fashion and life style blog Take only Memories upside down and made it into a platform to change my life, pursue my dreams of becoming a full time actress and filmmaker and to inspire others with my story.
